Sometimes the people who care about us simply don’t know what to say.
You may have heard things like:
“Be strong.”
“At least they lived a long life.”
“They’re in a better place.”
The words may be well-intended and still leave you feeling unseen.
Grief needs space, understanding, and time.
You don’t have to carry it alone.

Grief can follow many kinds of loss.
Grief does not only come with the death of a loved one.
It can also follow divorce, the end of a relationship, the loss of a job, life transitions, unmet hopes, or other deeply personal losses.
Whatever form your loss has taken, your grief is real — and you do not have to walk through it alone.
This workshop offers a safe place to begin working through what feels most present in your life.

What you’ll explore together:
-
What grief is — and what it isn’t
-
Helpful and unhelpful ways we respond to grief
-
How spirituality may show up during grief and recovery
-
The ways we remember and interpret important relationships
-
Your life story of losses and wins
-
Beginning to work through the loss that feels most present

What to expect
This is an interactive, participatory workshop with weekly reading, reflection, exercises, and opportunities to share in a small, supportive setting.
You’ll be guided through a time-proven process based on the Grief Recovery Method®, developed by John James and Russell Friedman.
You are invited to participate at a pace that feels manageable. The goal is not to rush grief or force you to share more than you’re ready to share, but to create space for honest reflection, support, and meaningful next steps.
